BE PART OF THE CHANGE.
CREATE IMPACT WITH US.
Skill-Build Initiative is building a growing community where persons with disabilities can learn, connect, contribute and access opportunities. There are several ways to be part of the Skill-Build ecosystem, whether you want to learn, volunteer, join our community, or partner with us to expand access to free skills and technology training.
01
Volunteer
Give your time and skills to a training cohort, an event or a community outreach. We need facilitators, interpreters, note-takers, photographers, drivers and people who are simply good with people.
- Support a cohort as a facilitator or assistant
- Interpret or take notes at sessions
- Help run events and community outreach
- Offer a professional skill — design, video, admin, legal

02
Become a mentor
Walk with one participant through their training and into their first role. Mentorship is where a certificate turns into a career, and it is the part of our work that changes outcomes most.
- Meet your mentee monthly for six months
- Help with CVs, portfolios and interview practice
- Open doors in your own network
- Full induction and ongoing support from our team

03
Partner with us
Bring your organisation into inclusive practice — through hiring, joint delivery, workplace accessibility reviews or shared advocacy. We work with government, business, educational institutions and development agencies.
- Inclusive hiring pipelines and work placements
- Joint programme delivery
- Workplace accessibility review and staff training
- Policy advocacy and research collaboration

04
Corporate sponsorship
Fund a cohort, a community hub or a piece of assistive technology, and receive full reporting on where it went and what changed. Sponsorship can be one-off or ongoing.
- Sponsor a full training cohort
- Fund assistive technology and accessible materials
- Support a community innovation hub
- Named sponsorship of an event or conference
